English has become one of the most important languages in the world.English is used in politics, business dealings and everyday life. Since English speaking countries are a very important part of the global economy and its advancement, other political and country leader must either learn English of find someone who knows English to interpret for them. Since it is considered bad manners to have things communicated through others, political leaders opt to learn the global language of English. This makes it easier for them to talk to their peers on matters of serious concern without feeling inadequate.
The business world has need for the global language of English as well. Many companies are expanding overseas. American companies are setting up shop in other countries and there are companies that wish to transfer over to America. The language barrier must be broken somehow, so people in the business world are learning English. This makes it easier to broker deals, or tell potential partners what is expected of them. It is also a good way to communicate with potential employees. It is often the tradition of the business world that you know your potential partner is native tongue. So if an American wants to imitate a deal with a Japanese business partner the American needs to know Japanese. It is considered proper business etiquette. With other countries waiting to set up business in English speaking countries or needing to appeal to English speaking customers, they need to learn English.
Tourism is another area where English has been embraced. Many English speaking people like to visit different countries on vacation.It's important for business in these countries to learn the global language of English since they will. In facts be benefiting from the presence of tourist. They will spread their money to buy souvenirs from their business, sample and eat the food and take tours. Language is the mean of communication. Mostly groups of society have their own languages. Some of them appear the top global languages. Most people in the world hear about English, Arabic, and Mandarin. However English is the most global spoken language. Then if a man wants to catch a global goal, he has to master English.
Everyone recognize that English is an international language. English is used in writing and speaking by many people all over the world. It can be either as a first or second language. We even hear British, American, Australian, and even Singaporean English. Those various names of English are used as the first language in those countries. Futhermore, some countries have their own languages as a mother language but also use English mostly in daily comunication.
Besides usage in daily interaction, English is also used as a key to open doors leading to scientific and technical knowledge. No wonder we find manual guides and instructions of many devices written in English. Even if we have a pack of instant noodle, we will see the cooking instruction also written in English. This transfer of science and technic will include many countries in economic, social and politics developement.
Finaly, the most easily seen in the importance of learning English is that most top requirement in filling job opportunities is the ability using English; active or passive. Job applicants who master English are more favourable than ones who do not.
